b) construction of the perimetrical wall for the protection of the small island where locates the temple of Saint Mary “The Mirtidiotissa”,
c) The protection of the southeastern section of the Naxos port with natural stones as well as the construction of pavement at the meteorological station and the city hall area.
The project was completed within the timetable.
During the construction the works were supervised by the appropriate employee of the Archeological department due to the archeological interest that the area has near the Naxos port. The works were taken place in a limited area and the reduction of the sound pollution was one of our first priorities with cooperation of the local authorities. Hence, there was not an ability of more than one work site due to the continuous operation of the port.
